FIRETAIL TECHNOLOGIES • SETUP GUIDE

Get started with Frequency.

Find the download for your device, then follow the matching sign-in instructions.

Have your Frequency service username and password ready. Use the credentials supplied for this service; these may be different from your Firetail client-area login.

1. Choose your device   →   2. Install a player   →   3. Sign in
You only need one compatible player to get started.

Android & compatible Fire TV devices

  1. Choose one player from the download list below. You do not need to install every app.
  2. Open Downloader on your compatible TV device and enter the app’s code. Alternatively, open its download link in an Android browser.
  3. Follow the installation prompts, open the player and use your Frequency service username and password.
  4. For IB Smarters, select Add playlist → TV Main, then enter your Frequency username and password. Other players may use different menu labels.
Check device compatibility

Some of these app builds are intended for newer Fire TV Sticks and Android TV boxes and may not install on older generations. If installation fails, send support your exact device model so we can help with a compatible option.

iPhone, iPad & Apple TV

  1. Open the App Store on your device and look for MyTVOnline or Smarters Lite, as listed in the Frequency setup instructions. Availability varies by device and region.
  2. Install the compatible app and choose Xtream API / Xtream Codes login.
  3. Enter your Frequency service username and password, plus the portal URL below. Save the playlist and allow it to load.

Your sign-in details

Choose Xtream Codes / Xtream API login (sometimes labeled “Xtreme Codes”). This method uses three separate fields:

Server / Portal URL

http://freqdns.com

Username: your Frequency service username
Password: your Frequency service password
Playlist name, if requested: Frequency (a label to help you recognize it)

Enter the complete address exactly as shown, including http:// or https:// and any port number after the colon. Do not add the port twice. Save or add the playlist, then allow the channels and TV guide to load.

Which login method should I use?

In IB Smarters, use Add playlist → TV Main. If your player instead asks for a server or portal address, use http://freqdns.com with your Frequency service credentials. Download codes are only for finding the app; they are not usernames or passwords.

Having trouble? Start here.

Login failed? Check that you are using your Frequency service credentials. Remove extra spaces, check letter case and confirm the full portal address.

Channels or guide not loading? Close and reopen the app, check your internet connection, then refresh the playlist or TV guide. Check your service status and any Firetail announcements.

Still using an old connection? Update the saved portal address. Before removing a playlist or clearing app data, keep your login details and note any favorites or settings you may lose.

Need help getting connected?
